Senior Research Officers (SROs) have a similar role to Research Officers but take on more responsibility within the team. An SRO will lead on individual research projects and have greater independence in their work.

Main duties include:

  • leading on the management and delivery of research projects
  • supporting policy teams to identify and address their respective evidence needs
  • developing strategic links with the wider research community in Wales and the UK

In the video, Rhys talks about working as a Senior Research Officer in Welsh Government.
