Discontinuation notice
This report has been discontinued and future data will be reported as part of a combined series called ‘Domestic GB tourism statistics’. Data for overnight visits in 2021 will be published in October 2022 and day visit 2021 data will be published in December 2022.
There will be no data available for 2020 for the Great Britain Tourism Survey. This is due to a combination of a planned methodological change and disruption to data collection caused by COVID-19 related travel restrictions.
The surveys have undergone a series of improvements and extra steps are being taken to ensure that the findings are as robust as possible before being published.
