An interactive tool which includes data on hospital admissions, cancer incidence, mortality and fertility rates.

The majority of the data can be mapped across Wales at Middle Super Output level (areas with between 5,000 and 11,000 residents) and for individual years. However some data are only available for combined years or at higher geographical levels due to the size of the numbers. Also, data can be mapped to the local health boards.

On 23 March 2023, the Health Maps Wales dashboard will be updated with data for:

  • hospital admissions, length of stay, waiting times for the latest 10 years up to 2021/22 and population data up to 2021 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level

Further updates will follow on 30 March for:

  • mortality data for the latest 10 years up to 2021 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • accident and emergency attendances for the latest 10 years up to 2021/22 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • General Fertility Rate for the latest 10 years up to 2021 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • National Center for Child Health and Development (NCCHD) immunisations data for the latest 10 years up to 2021/22 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • NCCHD births data for the latest 10 years up to 2021 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • Office for National Statistics birth data for the latest 10 years up to 2021 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • outpatient attendance and referrals data for the latest 10 years up to 2021/22 at Wales, local health boards and local authority level
  • cancer Incidence for 10 years up to 2019 (all geographies)
