Health service procurement (Provider Selection Regime Wales): Direct Award Process 2

Direct Award Process 2 of the Provider Selection Regime Wales may be used when the relevant authority considers an existing provider (or group of providers) is satisfying the existing contract, is likely to continue to satisfy the proposed contract and the proposed contracting arrangements are not a considerable change from the existing contract. 

Direct Award Process 2 must not be used to:

• award contracts when establishing a new service
• conclude a framework agreement
• to award a contract based on a framework agreement
