This guidance remains in place until 31 October 2026.
The Healthy Eating in Schools (Nutritional Standards and Requirements) (Maintained Primary Schools) (Wales) Regulations 2025 come into force on 31 October 2026, we have published new draft guidance for catering providers on how they can meet the new regulations so that they can prepare for this date.
New guidance will be published for secondary schools in October 2026.
We have also published new standalone guidance on the promotion of healthy eating and drinking in all maintained schools in Wales.
