The Panel ensures that recommendations from a review of maternity services at the former Cwm Taf UHB are implemented.
The Independent Maternity Services Oversight Panel will
- advise the Minister for Health and Social Services on progress of implementing the royal colleges’ report recommendations against agreed milestones
- promote effective public engagement in improving maternity services and rebuilding trust and confidence
- oversee an independent clinical review of the original cases and a look back to 2010 to ensure ongoing safety and learning
