Saz Willey

Saz Willey is a member of the Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales.

Saz was Chair of Care and Repair Cymru until September 2024 when her 5 year term ended. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, the Association of Chairs, Women on Board, Women’s Equality Network (WEN) Wales and the Electoral Reform Society and volunteers at a local food pantry.

Born in Wales, Saz obtained an economics degree and worked as an auditor before moving to Paris. Returning to Wales, she became an active volunteer, a carer and retrained in law. She worked as a Citizens Advice Bureau manager until 2013 managing Legal Aid and Welsh Government contracts, developing new services and campaigning to improve policy and practice.

Saz is a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She was a board member of Care and Repair Cymru for 9 years and completed her 5 year term as its Chair in September 2024.

A POBL non-executive for 5 years, Saz was vice-chair of the Group’s Audit and Risk Committee and a POBL Trust trustee.

She was also a Vale Local Health Board non-executive and audit committee member for 6 years and a licensed PQASSO mentor.
