The Independent Remuneration Panel for Wales is responsible for determining the level of payments to elected members of councils, national park authorities and fire and rescue authorities in Wales.

The panel was established in 2008 and is independent of central and local government. It has powers to make recommendations on proposed variations to the remuneration of chief executives of principal councils in Wales.

The panels produces an annual report which is consulted upon. The annual report contains all of the determinations of the panel.
