A representative panel of 2,000 individuals was set up in 2003.

Respondents were interviewed face to face in their homes, on a range of questions about their participation and views of learning. These individuals were re-interviewed in 2004 and 2005, to track changes in attitudes and perceptions of learning.

These findings will help improve our understanding in relation to motivation to learn. The results have also been used to produce a segmentation of individuals across Wales in relation to their actions and views on learning.
