About the grant
The local authority low carbon heat grant (LCHG) supports capital works to retrofit low-carbon heat in non-domestic, local authority–owned buildings.
This grant has reopened for two rounds of applications.
The closing dates for applications are 6 March 2026 and 27 April 2026. Please note that the rounds may close early if we receive a high volume of applications.
Who can apply
This funding is for local authorities in Wales with projects ready to deliver.
Capital grants are available for eligible works (up to 90% funding, at least 10% match required).
