Details

The LHA rates published will continue to be effective until 31 March 2014.

The tables do not provide any guaranteed indicator of the condition of, or trends in, the rental market. Rent Officers Wales do not accept any liability for actions or judgements that LHA claimants or others take arising from the use of the tables.

Method

The tables show the method used to produce the Local Housing Allowance rates in accordance with statute.

Column 1

The LHA rates applicable for April 2012 are shown here.

Column 2

The 30th percentile figures shown here are taken from the last 12 months of lettings information, collected up to the end of September 2012.

Column 3

The rates in column 1 uplifted by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September, are shown here. (The CPI, published on the 16th October 2012, is 2.2%).

Column 4

The LHA rates effective from 1 April 2013 are shown here. They are the lower of the figures shown in columns 1 and 3.
