Local Places for Nature Programme Theory of Change
A theory of change logic model for the programme identified the programme aims to achieve two main impacts:
- increased support for nature restoration
- improved community well-being
Output data
Output data available differs per scheme but describes:
- the number of new green sites created, including community gardens and tree planting
- the number of volunteers involved
Outcomes
Available scheme data on outcomes suggest:
- positive feedback on community engagement and well-being benefits, such as improved mental health and social cohesion
- funding has supported projects to partner with other organisations or stakeholders
Analysis of the available project reports as well as interviews with scheme staff identified that strong community ownership and collaboration were central to project success.
Interim conclusions
As this is an interim report, conclusions made may change following further primary research with projects.
