Mehreen graduated from Aston University in 2010 and has extensive experience working as an Optometrist and Pre-registration Supervisor in a variety of practice settings across the UK. Since 2019 she has been based in North Wales, working both as a community Optometrist and independent prescriber providing WGOS services, and as a Specialist Optometrist in the Hospital Eye Service at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

She is an active member of the North Wales Regional Optical Committee, serves as Optometry Collaborative Lead for the North East Flintshire Cluster, and sits on the College of Optometrists Policy Advisory Panel. She is passionate about the future of optometry, advocating for vulnerable patient groups and improving collaboration between primary and secondary care.
