Description of role and organisation

The committee was established in 2017 under the provision of the Environment (Wales) Act and provides advice on all aspects of flood and coastal risk management in Wales, supporting Welsh Ministers and all Welsh risk management authorities. 

Appointment type or extension  

These appointment were made in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments.

All appointments were made on merit following an open, competitive process. Political activity plays no part in the selection process. 

The terms of appointment for each member will be for 3 years to March 2026.
