As we deliver our ambitious programme to boost educational standards across Wales, the Welsh Government is establishing a new Ministerial Headteacher Advisory Group (MHAG) as a cornerstone of our school improvement strategy. This initiative comes at a crucial time when we are prioritising literacy and numeracy, increasing attendance and attainment, and ensuring our educational reforms deliver meaningful impact.

As a member, you will:

  • have the opportunity to engage with the Cabinet Secretary for Education
  • support the work of the new Education Improvement Team
  • lead regional discussions and chair national forums
  • engage in research and strategic policy development

The information pack includes the following information to help with your application:

  • purpose of the group and information, including the role description and person specification
