The Minister for Climate Change, Julie James MS has extended Sir David Henshaw’s appointment as Chair of Natural Resources Wales (NRW), which will commence on 1 November 2023.

The Minister for Climate Change, Julie James, MS said:

‘I am pleased that Sir David has agreed to remain as Chair of NRW. Sir David has a proven track record in providing strong Board level leadership and transformation, enabling NRW’s continued successful delivery.  His extension will enable the organisation to continue to build on the good progress made since his initial appointment.’

The Chair of NRW is remunerated at an annual rate of £46,800 for a minimum time commitment of 72 days per year.  

In the last five years, Sir David has not been employed by a political party, held a significant office in a party, stood as a candidate for a party in an election, publicly spoken on behalf of a political party, nor made significant donations or loans to a party.
