Statistics on coronavirus:

  • cases
  • deaths
  • hospitalisations
  • new admissions to hospital
  • invasive ventilated beds in Wales
  • general and acute beds use in Wales
  • ambulance calls
  • 111 and NHS Direct calls
  • daily A&E attendances
  • NHS staff absences

We have now broken down data on hospitalisations into those confirmed, suspected or recovering from COVID-19. Please see the Chief Statistician’s blog for more information including a note on terminology for critical care and data quality more generally.

They have been published to provide latest data. The statistics will be used by the NHS Chief Executive in his weekly press conference.

The data are taken from management information and are subject to change. They have not been not been subject to the same validation processes undertaken for official statistics releases. However, they are provided to support transparency and understanding of NHS activity at this time. The official statistics should continue to be considered the authoritative source of data.

We also publish data weekly on the testing for coronavirus (COVID-19).
