What apprenticeships are available?

Our Generalist and Digital, Data & Technology apprenticeship programmes open for applications on 17 August 2026, the advert is open for 6 weeks up until 28 September 2026.

Who can apply?

You can apply if you:

will be aged 16 or over when your apprenticeship starts.
will have completed, or intend to complete, any full-time education before starting the apprenticeship.
meet the Civil Service nationality requirements and UK immigration rules.

Salary and Benefits

As a Welsh Government apprentice, you'll receive:

starting salary of £27,302.
membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme.
31 days annual leave, plus 11 public and privilege days.
a Level 3 NVQ qualification on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
an 18-month apprenticeship programme with the opportunity to work in a range of placements.

What happens after I apply?

Once you have submitted your application you will be asked to complete some eligibility questions by our training provider. You will then get an e-mail at each stage of the recruitment process from sifting through to interview and being offered a role.
