Hannah Hopkins

Hannah is pioneering Key Stage 3 Humanities as an area of Learning and Experience for the Welsh Government, her work has impacted greatly on the wider curriculum and is influencing processes in secondary schools across Wales.

Pupils in her class come to life when they speak about her as their teacher, even describing her as “a second Mum who is always there for us when we need her.” No matter how busy, she makes the pupils always feel valued.

Hannah’s passion for teaching humanities is evident and she goes the extra mile to lead on whole-school responsibilities, develop other teachers and maintain high examination results.
