The Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS) will replace Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) payments. BPS will reduce each year with a final claim in 2028. To receive the SFS universal payments, you must be eligible to claim. The scheme description document describes who is eligible. You can use this ready reckoner to estimate your indicative SFS Universal Payment or BPS Taper value. Calculations should be quick and will not ask for personal information. The information required to complete the ready reckoner is available from:
- your 2025 Single Application Form (SAF) summary document. This provides details of:
- your total land area declared in 2025
- your BPS number of entitlements, and
- the common land allocation determined from 2024
- any ineligible areas
- your SFS data confirmation form 2025 provides:
- habitat size totals, and
- total tree canopy areas which are greater or equal to 0.1ha
