Indee Dehal Staff Elected Member
Indee leads the Welsh Revenue Authority’s (WRA) work and strategy on the design and implementation of the visitor levy.
Indee joined the WRA in August 2022 as the Lead for Land Transaction Tax, one of the two devolved taxes that are collected and managed by the WRA. In that role, Indee led and worked across the operational delivery of the tax, ensuring ‘Our Approach’ to managing tax was put into practice.
Before joining the WRA, Indee trained as a tax professional at HM Revenue & Customs. He successfully completed the Tax Specialist Programme, specialising in Corporation Tax and the Stamp Tax regimes, and went on to become a Senior Tax Advisor.
In 2025, Indee became the Visitor Levy Lead for the WRA and was also nominated by colleagues to become the staff elected member of the WRA Board.
Over his career, Indee has worked on a range of different taxes and areas, spanning compliance, operations, technical, policy and strategy. He’s now able to draw on his experiences and skills to design and deliver the visitor levy, which marks an exciting new chapter for the WRA.
