Amira Begum, Grange Pavilion Youth Forum

Amira Begum is a driving force for youth-led change in her community.

As a Director of Grange Pavilion Youth Forum and a young person's representative on the Grange Pavilion Board, Amira works at the heart of initiatives that create opportunities for young people across Grangetown in Cardiff.

Amira delivers workshops, organising events and trips, and also mentors young people, bringing warmth and care alongside practical guidance.

Amira also plays a key advocacy role as a youth representative on the Grange Pavilion Board, ensuring local services reflect the needs and aspirations of young people and building connections with decision-makers to ensure youth voices are heard.  From community fundraising for global causes to creating spaces for expression and participation, Amira is helping young people develop skills, confidence, and a sense of purpose.

One of the young people from Grange Pavilion said:

“She’s a big reason why I’ve gained confidence and feel empowered to speak up about things that matter to me… her kindness and support truly changed my life.”
