Online Preferences

On your homepage select CRN Details and from the drop-down menu select Online Preferences. The Online Preference screen appears, and by selecting Update this information, you can choose to receive notifications by email, SMS, or both. You can also update your email address and mobile phone  number. The email address and mobile phone number will be used by Farming Connect where applicable. Select Save Changes  to update your information or Cancel to return to the previous screen.  Your changes will be shown instantly in the Online Preferences screen.

To note if you account has been put on Restricted Block the Update this information tab  will not appear for you to make amendments.

Manage Agents/Farming Unions

From your homepage, select CRN Details, then Manage Agents/Farming Unions. This page lists all linked Agents/Farming Unions, showing their CRN, name, and the areas of your business they are permitted or not permitted to access.

You can adjust an agent’s or farming union’s access by selecting the Modify tab. The View History tab shows all previously permitted roles.

Adding an Agent or Farming Union to your business

Select CRN Details on your homepage, then choose Manage Agents/Farming Unions from the menu. When the page opens, select the Add New tab in the top right corner.

This opens the Find Agent/Farming Union you wish to create a link with page, where you must enter the Agent’s or Farming Union’s CRN and then select Search.

The Add New Link page will then display the CRN, Trading Title, and the six areas in which you can grant permission to the Agent or Farming Union to act on your behalf.

These are:

  1. Amend Business Details: this role will allow amendments to be made to business details online, including updating Business Areas and Agricultural Sectors.  Changes to business details can be made under Customer Details.
  2. Complete Applications and Claims: this role will allow the completion of a claim online. It does not grant permission to submit the claim. This permission will allow you to update Business Areas and Agricultural Sectors (changes can be made under Customer Details).
  3. Submit Applications and Claims: this role will allow the submission of applications and claims online.
  4. View Payment/Financial Letters: this role will allow Financial Information to be viewed online, e.g. payment letters, overpayment letters and payments. Agents/Farming Unions will not be able to see your bank details. 
  5. Manage Entitlements: this role allows the Basic  Payment Scheme (BPS) entitlements to be transferred or leased online. Notification of any transfer (or lease) applications are sent to the Correspondence Address. 
  6. Accept/Decline contracts: this role will allow contracts to be accepted or declined.

After selecting your permissions, choose Add to save or Cancel to exit. 

After selecting Add, you will return to the Manage Agents/Farming Unions page, where the Agent’s or Farming Union’s CRN and Trading Title will appear alongside an outlined yellow box  showing ‘Awaiting Agent/Farming Union Approval’. The permissions you granted will be marked with a tick, and those not granted with a cross. 

You are still able to amend the permissions by selecting the Modify button and opening the Modify Link page. To save your changes select Update and you will return to the Manage Agents/Farming Unions page. If you select Cancel any changes you have made will not be saved.

The Modify Link page also includes a Reject tab. Use this option if you wish to remove the link with the Agent or Farming Union. You will be asked to confirm the rejection. Once confirmed, the Agent or Farming Union will no longer be able to undertake any activities in RPW Online on your behalf, unless you choose to create a new link in the future.

The Agent’s or Farming Union’s decision will be displayed on the Manage Agents/Farming Unions page. A green box with a tick and the message Approved by Agent/Farming Union will appear if the link is approved, while a red box with a cross and the message Rejected by Agent/Farming Union will appear if it is declined. If you Modify your permission choices and select Update, a new invitation will be sent to the Agent or Farming Union.

Modifying permissions for the Agent/Farming Union

You can amend the permissions granted to an Agent or Farming Union at any time. Select CRN Details, then Manage Agents/Farming Unions, and choose the relevant Agent or Farming Union.
Select Modify to update the permissions, then Update to save the changes. An amended invitation will be sent to the Agent or Farming Union for review.

Their decision will be displayed on the Manage Agents/Farming Unions page.

Rejecting a link with the Agent/Farming Union

If you no longer wish an Agent or Farming Union to act on behalf of your business, you can remove the link. Select CRN Details, then Manage Agents/Farming Unions, and choose the relevant Agent or Farming Union.

Select Reject and confirm the action when prompted. Once rejected, the Agent or Farming Union will no longer be able to conduct any activities in RPW Online for your business, unless you create a new link in the future. The Manage Agents/Farming Unions page will display a red outlined box stating rejected by customer.

To un-reject a link with an Agent or Farming Union

Select CRN Details on your homepage, then choose Manage Agents/Farming Unions from the menu. Select the relevant Agent or Farming Union, then choose Modify. Amend your permission choices as needed and select Update. The invite will then be resent to the Agent or Farming Union for a decision.
