- There were 0.4 permanent exclusions, 36.7 fixed-term exclusions of 5 days or fewer and 1.7 fixed-term exclusions over 5 days per 1,000 pupils in maintained schools and pupil referral units.
- The rate of permanent exclusions has remained the same in 2017/18 after increasing in 2016/17.
