Details
In addition to the staff producing a statistical report certain individuals are allowed early access to official statistics. This enables people such as the First Minister of Wales to comment on statistics based on a correct understanding of them.
The rules governing who and why early access is granted are set out inĀ The Pre-Release Access to Official Statistics (Wales) Order 2009.
To ensure we are following the rules the UK Statistics Authority assess our pre-release access arrangements.
Who has pre-release access?
In the interests of openness and transparency we publish the title of statistical reports to which pre-release access arrangements apply. We include the job titles of all those persons to whom pre-release access is granted and the organisations to which they belong.
For administrative reasons teams such as translation unit and the internet publishing team will also be granted pre-release access in a restricted manner.
The latest set of lists will be added in the final week of each month.
