Original consultation
We want your views on the proposed Whelk Permit conditions 2022 to 23.
Consultation description
We intend to introduce new whelk fisheries management measures in the Welsh zone. Proposals include:
- an authorisation scheme for all vessels taking whelks with pots in the Welsh zone
- an annual catch limit
- a flexible monthly catch limit for authorised vessels
- a permit fee
