Princess said:
“I am consistently motivated to seek the change I desire and be part of making that change. I want to play my role in contributing towards creating a better, healthier, resilient and more progressive Wales.”
Her experience as a board member of Taff Housing Association has been very rewarding. The board is very diverse and the diversity on the board provides for richness in ideas and policies which cater to the multi-cultural and diverse tenants of Taff Housing Association.
She believes that diversity on boards ensures a wide range of opinions are heard, which improves the quality and objectivity of decision-making process.
Princess is currently a Board Trustee with Homes4U Cardiff and has also held positions on other boards including the BulliesOut Charity. In these roles she has been able to form and shape policy and action for all in the community.
Princess added:
“I would encourage individuals from under-represented and minority groups who have the necessary skills to put themselves forward to be part of boards. This will ensure that their perspectives are taken into account.
Being on a board gives a voice to under-represented groups before final decisions are taken which may affect future generations.”
