Original consultation

We are consulting on the Regulation of Private Housing (Information, Periods and Fees for Registration and Licensing) (Wales) Regulations 2015 which are required to be produced in order for the provisions contained in Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 to be implemented.

Consultation description

The Housing (Wales) Act received Royal Assent on 17 September 2014. Part 1 of the act includes provisions which will introduce a mandatory system of landlord registration and a requirement for people involved in the letting and management of rented residential properties in Wales to become licensed.

This consultation is to gather views on the information periods and fees required for an application for registration and an application for a licence under Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 – Regulation of Private Rented Housing.
