Research exploring ways to improve the Disability Confident Employer Scheme in Wales - Acknowledgements
We worked with the Disability Rights Taskforce to conduct research into the Disability Confident Employer Scheme. We wanted to test how we co-produce research to support disabled people.

This was a collaborative social research project. A team of co-producers delivered the research including Chairs of the Disability Rights Taskforce working groups, Welsh Government social researchers, Welsh Government policy officers and a PhD student. The co-production team combined lived experience of being disabled by barriers with expertise in disability rights and social research (both academic and Government).
This social research project would not have been possible without the dedicated time and extensive and insightful contributions made by the co-producers at each stage of the research from project scoping to publication of this report.
Welsh Government would like to pay particular thanks to co-production team members from the Disability Rights Taskforce for sharing their personal and organisational assets, including lived experience of being disabled by barriers, their passion and ambition to address inequalities, their communications and interpersonal skills, and for reaching into their own expertise and understanding of the current and historical landscape for disabled people and tapping into their own networks.

- Professor Debbie Foster, Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University. Chair of the Employment & Income Working Group and Co-Chair of the Welsh Government Disability Rights Taskforce
