This report provides a summary of a literature review from a larger research project about second homes. It explores evidence relating to the impacts of second homes, and potential policy interventions in national and international contexts.
The full research report will be published at a later date. It will contain findings from primary research undertaken with stakeholders whose work relates to second homes. The stakeholders include local authority planning and housing officers, community councils, campaigning groups, estate agents, housing associations and academics.
As this summary is being published before the research project is completed, the conclusions of the final report may differ.
