Original consultation

We are consulting on proposals to designate 2 further sites in Wales as bathing waters under the Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/EC.

Consultation description

The Bathing Water Directive requires member states to identify all bathing waters each year. This is so that we ensure all coastal and inland waters that are used by a large number of bathers during the bathing season (15 May to 30 September) are designated.

The two sites we are proposing for designation for the 2014 bathing season are:

  • Llyn Padarn Llanberis Gwynedd
  • Rhyl East East Parade Denbighshire.
