Consultation description

We are seeking views on two related but distinct sets of proposals, including a statutory duty on rural proofing and a range of environmental sustainability proposals, that may be taken forward in primary legislation. 

Proposals include: 

  • Rural Proofing
  • Climate Change
  • Forestry Act 1967
  • Waste
  • Biodiversity and resilience of ecosystems duty - Environment (Wales) Act 2016
  • Power to modify specified regulations made under section 2(2) European Communities Act 1972
  • Strengthening enforcement.
