Guidance for journalists

Single Unified Safeguarding Reviews (SUSRs) are undertaken following serious incidents involving abuse or neglect which result in serious harm or death.

As such, SUSRs will cover sensitive topics such as:

  • child abuse
  • abuse of adults at risk
  • sexual offences
  • domestic abuse
  • suicide and self harm
  • mental health

As with all reporting in relation to such topics, good, ethical practice should be followed.
