The chart shows that the number of cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people in Wales increased sharply between mid-December 2021 and early January 2022. Since then, the number of cases per 100,000 people has been generally decreasing.

The chart shows that the average percentage of the population that had COVID-19 increased between mid-December 2021 and early January 2022 in Wales, England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Since then, the average percentage in Wales has fluctuated and is currently below the average percentage in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
