Dani Robertson is an inspirational environmental champion, serving as the Dark Skies Officer for Eryri National Park. Dani manages the UK’s largest International Dark Sky Reserve, where her unique role begins as dusk falls.

She leads 'Prosiect Nos', forging partnerships across Wales to tackle the growing threat of light pollution. Dani’s work blends scientific expertise, conservation, and a deep cultural appreciation, as she advocates tirelessly for the protection of Wales’ night skies for wildlife, communities, and future generations.

Through innovative lighting strategies, public engagement events, and bilingual outreach, Dani reconnects people with the wonder of the stars. Her influence extends from shaping national policy—having coauthored Wales’s Good Practice Guidance on Dark Skies—to inspiring millions through her BBC1 documentary and book.

Through her steadfast dedication, Dani has made Wales a leading example in dark sky conservation, showcasing resilience, ingenuity, and stewardship—qualities central to the St David’s Award for Environment.
