Liam Davies is a 16-year old snooker player from Tredegar.

He started playing snooker when he was six and a half years old and he wants to become a professional snooker player on the main tour as well as aiming to be World Champion and World Number One, one day.

When he was 10 years old, he represented Wales in the Celtic Challenge event in Ireland and an ISBF tournament in Belgium.

He is currently ranked the Welsh Mens’ number 1 and holds the Guinness World Record for being the youngest every player to compete in a professional tournament at the age of 12.

Liam was the youngest person to win a match at the 2022 World Snooker Championship. He was 15 years and 277 days when he won his match in the first qualifying round. Later in 2022, he won 3 back-to-back junior world events – beating Bulcsu Revesz from Hungary in the under 16 final, winning the under 18 by beating Antoni Kowalski from Poland and beating Kowalski again to take the under-21 title.

He now plays snooker full time and is the practice partner of the 3-times World Champion, Mark Williams.
