Sport award winner 2023

Olivia Breen is 26-years old and a paralympic athlete who competes for Wales. Her main events are T38 sprint and F38 long jump.

Her athletics career began in 2012 when she received national classification at a UK Athletics Talent Day to run as a disabled T38 athlete. At the end of June she competed at the European Championships in Holland and returned with 2 bronze medals.

She was then chosen to represent Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, where she took part in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m events. She was the second youngest Paralympian in the team.

In 2014, she has represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and came 4th.

She competed in the 100m and long jump at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio.

She won a Gold medal in the F38 Long Jump, with a lifetime best of 4.81m at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London. She also came 4th in the T38 100m.

At the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia, where she won a Gold medal in the long jump and jumped 4.86m - a personal best as well as a Commonwealth Games record. She also won a bronze medal in the T38 100m.

She was a member of Team GB at the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won a bronze medal in the long jump.

At the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, she won a Gold in the F38 Long Jump.
