Robert Scott is a dedicated prison officer at HMP Berwyn, whose journey epitomises the transformative power of education within public service.
Initially joining the Young Adults Training pilot as a learner, Rob’s proactive spirit saw him complete the Level 2 Train the Trainer qualification with Adult Learning Wales. Now, he leverages his experiences to inspire and facilitate peer-led training sessions for fellow officers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous professional development within the prison.
Rob’s impact reaches far beyond personal achievement; his commitment has galvanised colleagues to embark on their own learning journeys, strengthening the partnership between Adult Learning Wales, the Prison Officers Association, and HMP Berwyn.
