Legacy schemes
Legacy schemes are subsidy schemes that were in existence prior to the Subsidy Control Act 2022 coming into force. Under section 48 of the Act, these schemes do not need to comply with most of the requirements set out in the Act. The majority of legacy subsidies are however required to comply with the Act’s transparency rules.
