Welsh Government provided more than £11m between 2022 and 2025 for the Sustainable Landscapes, Sustainable Places (SLSP) capital fund, for Designated Landscapes to deliver a large range of projects improving biodiversity, reducing carbon consumption, promoting more sustainable tourism and enhancing community resilience. A series of videos (Youtube) have been commissioned by the Designated Landscape bodies to demonstrate achievements made at Tirweddau Cymru Landscapes Wales

In 2024 the Fund was reviewed, with recommendations agreed by Ministers. While retaining much of the programme’s successful features, bodies will now receive 60% of their capital allocation through the new SLSP Landscape Nature & Carbon Fund, to maximise delivery against Welsh Government’s highest priorities -responding to the Climate and Nature crises. The remaining 40% will be provided in the form of general capital, which gives flexibility to bodies to respond to local needs and priorities.

The following projects have been approved for funding through the SLSP Landscape Nature & Carbon Fund for 2025-27.
