Original consultation
We are seeking views on proposals for new taxi and private hire vehicle (PHV) legislation.
Consultation description
Our vision for Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles (PHVs) was published in Llwybr Newydd: the Wales transport strategy 2021.
We want a taxi and PHV licensing system that is:
- fit for a modern Wales
- promotes safety for passengers and drivers
- contributes to a cleaner environment
- improves the customer experience and is
- accessible by all.
This white paper sets out proposals for legislation to modernise the taxi and PHV sector and address the problems of cross bordering.
