The Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee (WHSSC) was responsible for the planning of specialised and tertiary services on behalf of Local Health Boards. On 1 April 2024, it was replaced by The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee, which acts on behalf of the 7 health boards to plan and purchase health services.
