Get ready for Visitor Levy in Cardiff 

We're hosting free bilingual Visitor Levy: 'Get Ready' sessions to help visitor accommodation providers in Cardiff prepare for the upcoming changes.

These sessions are for anyone who provides visitor accommodation in Cardiff, whether you run a hotel, a short-term let, a campsite, or any other type of visitor accommodation.

We're running these both online and in person, so you can choose whichever suits you best.

These sessions will cover:

• an overview of what the Visitor Levy means for your business
• practical guidance on what you need to do to prepare
• answers to your questions from Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) experts

You'll be able to ask questions throughout, with our team on hand to help. Sessions will be held bilingually in English and Welsh.

Workshops: how to register your visitor accommodation  

We're running free online workshops to help you register your visitor accommodation in Wales. 

These workshops are for anyone who takes bookings for overnight stays in Wales, whether you host occasionally, seasonally, or year-round.

The workshops will cover: 

• a step-by-step walkthrough of the registration process 
• practical guidance on what you need to complete your registration 
• answers to your questions from Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) experts 

You’ll be able to register your visitor accommodation in the workshop, with our team available to help throughout.

Land Transaction Tax (LTT) forum 

We’re hosting a free tax forum looking at areas of LTT where solicitors and conveyancers have asked for more training.  

The event takes place in Cardiff on Tuesday 22 September. 

The forum is for:  

• people who file or pay LTT with the WRA 
• solicitors 
• conveyancers  

The forum will focus on: 

• suitable for use 
• transfer of equity  
• common errors in higher rates transactions 

You can also meet technical experts from the WRA to talk with us and give feedback about our services.
