Terms of reference
A summary of the committee's purpose.
- To inform Knowledge and Analytical Services and the wider Government Statistical Service, of the requirements of public sector organisations in Wales for statistical material from central government sources.
- To help public sector organisations in Wales keep abreast of, and influence, developments in government statistical work, particularly that for which the Welsh Government is responsible.
- To promote liaison between public sector organisations, in the development and use of datasets required by organisations in Wales,
- To identify issues, including those relating to the collection of statistical data from, and dissemination of data to, public sector organisations, and methodological issues of common interest to central and local government, which need to be considered by other groups or by working groups arranged by the Welsh Statistical Liaison Committee; and to monitor progress as appropriate.
