Original consultation
We want your views on the proposed whelk permit conditions for 2024 to 2025.
Consultation description
The proposals for the 2024 to 2025 whelk permit period, starting on 1 March 2024, include:
- the permit fee to increase with inflationary costs to £304
- the Annual Catch Limit (ACL) to remain the same as 2023-2024 at 4,768 tonnes
- no change to the initial Monthly Catch Limit (MCL) of 50 tonnes
