1. Members to contribute to an equality impact assessment (EIA) to consider the impact of the regulations.

2. Once formal advice has been prepared and sent to Welsh Ministers, government officials will prepare a paper for the WPC to summarise the steps that were taken as the result of this special meeting of the JEC.

Actions

1. Welsh Government agreed to investigate the position of the Scottish Government on excluding pension strain from exit payments.

2. All attendees agreed to provide information for an EIA (equality impact assessment) to government officials, which considers the potential impacts of the regulations on the workforce.

3. Welsh Government agreed to prepare a paper for the WPC to summarise the steps that were taken as the result of this special meeting of the JEC.
