Withdrawal of the Code of Practice on Workforce Matters in Public Sector Service Contracts
- The scope of this circular is now varied as of 25 March 2026.
- The Code of Practice on Workforce Matters in Public Sector Service Contracts set out in Appendix A (the Code) now no longer applies to any contracts entered into on or after 25 March 2026.
- The code continues to apply to any contracts entered into before 25 March 2026.
Direction
- This preamble serves as a variation to the direction given under paragraphs 37-39 below.
- The direction is varied such that the Directed Bodies are no longer required to have regard to the Code of Practice on Workforce Matters in Public Sector Service Contracts set out in Annex A for any contracts entered into on or after 25 March 2026.
- Directed Bodies must still have regard to the code in relation to any contracts entered into before 25 March 2026.
