In accordance with the inter-institutional relations agreement, I can report to Members that I attended the latest meeting of the Net Zero, Energy and Climate Change Inter-Ministerial Group on 15 November 2023. The meeting focused the Prime Minister’s 20 September Announcements watering-down net zero policies and collaboration on green skills.
The meeting also was attended by Mairi McAllan MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Net Zero and Just Transition; Graham Stuart MP, Minister of State Energy Security and Net Zero; and Katrina Godfrey, Permanent Secretary at the Northern Ireland Department of Agriculture, Environment, and Rural Affairs.
