I would like to inform Members of recent appointments I have made to the Board of Sport Wales.
Following an open recruitment process held last summer for five appointments to the Board, a further eight candidates were deemed appointable and placed on a reserve list should any future opportunities arise.
With three Board members approaching the end of their second and final terms later this year, I have decided to appoint three new members from the reserve list. The new Board members are Parul Patel, Phil Newman, and Dr Anna Bryant. Their combined experience will ensure the Board retains the skills needed to operate effectively.
The new members will commence their term of office on 1 October 2026 for a three-year period.
