The UK Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed that positive and negative results from Lighthouse labs have suffered delays. We are seeking urgent clarity from the UK Department of Health and Social Care on the extent to which the reported Lighthouse Lab test delays have impacted Wales.
Controlling the transmission of Coronavirus relies on rapid detection and isolation of positive cases. While delays in that system are a cause for considerable concern, all results are texted to individuals when they are authorised. We believe that conveying the results to individuals was unaffected.
